Changes...

Its been well over a month since we've posted and there's been some changes, as well as some fun times to talk about. The first big change is that Eddie starts his new job tomorrow (October 1st) as Room Chef of One Six Ultra Lounge at the new Eastside Cannery. Click here to go to their website. It was a change that was long overdue and much needed.
We had a fun filled visit with Grandma and Grandpa Shortsleeve from NY a few weeks back. They arrived late on Wednesday September 3rd and stayed until the 10th. We kept them busy everyday between a trip to Mt Charleston (picture left), swimming with Sofia, visit to Eddie's old workplace, lifting weights in the garage and a fun visit to the San Gennaro Italian Festival. It was great to have them out to visit and I know they enjoyed it just as much!

Sofia is now enrolled in two classes at the local rec center: Ballet on Monday's and Tiny Tots Sports on Saturday. She loves going to her classes and she actually stays involved most of the time. She stays pretty well focused and enjoys the interaction with other friends in class. She is now carrying on full length conversations with us and can tell us about her day at Nana's or what she wants to do right at that moment!

Vanessa is getting pretty big now and is feeling the extra weight in her back. You can see how many days we have left in the picture to the right at the top of the blog. She has exactly 30 days of work left which I know she is more then happy about out. Shes has been a trooper through this whole pregenancy with very little complaining. The most I here form her is how badly she wants a Margarita from Viva Sapatia! We are looking forward to Grandma Goebert coming in early November for the birth of Baby X (we still havent decided on a name yet!) and to help us for a few weeks after. We are already more then apprecitive of her assistance!

Our garden has yielded some beautiful flowering vines, but thus far only one cantaloupe! The picture to the left is a very small pumpkin that started growing, but it just died out a few weeks after it started to grow. If anyone has any advice on how to keep the pumpkins growing, please let me know at edshortsleeve@gmail.com. Our Privets have been flowering off an on for the past month or so (picture right). They always do well for us.

Vanessa's sister Sandy celebrated her 20th birthday this past Saturday. It was another fun time and was hilarious watching the kids dance! Check out this video of Sofia dancing and doing a funny break dance move.

Thats about all for now. We'll keep you posted on the baby and will sirely post some pictures!
